Betsy Dexter

Talent Subcommittee Co-Chair

Betsy Dexter is the Senior Vice President of Talent and Education Strategy at Commerce Lexington, where she leads initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent for Greater Lexington.  She works to strengthen the region’s workforce pipeline through collaboration with businesses, educators, and community partners.

Before joining Commerce Lexington, Betsy spent three years as Manager of Public Affairs at the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, specializing in education and workforce policy. Prior to that, she served as a Field Representative for former Congressman Ben Chandler, representing him throughout the 6th District of Kentucky.

In 2015, she completed a yearlong fellowship with the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, focusing on strategies to improve talent pipelines in Kentucky. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and currently resides in Lexington.
