Fall Classes Start with Largest Freshman Class in UK History

The Univesity of Kentucky kicked off the Fall semester with a recording-breaking freshman class of just over 6,000 students. "Nothing is more central to our state’s progress than educating a skilled and diverse workforce and citizenry," said President Capilouto in a recent article outlining the new year.

Lexington Ranked 25th Most Livable City in North America

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) released its global survey and livability index for 2022 and  Lexington was ranked as the 25th most livable city in North America. The top 4 cities were in Canada and ranked in the following order: Calgary, Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. Atlanta was ranked as the most livable City in the United States. The rating was calculated using the following categories

UK announces FoodChain as 2022-23 Cornerstone Community Innovation Partner

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 19, 2022) — The University of Kentucky is pleased to announce the next Cornerstone Community Innovation Partner (CIP) for the 2022-23 academic year. This year’s partner is FoodChain, which will have an ongoing presence at the Cornerstone to increase community engagement with students and faculty. This 12-month long partnership is intended to help foster the Cornerstone’s vision of innovation and entrepreneurship through building connection between the community and the university.

UK Supplier Diversity and KYPTAC Release Class Schedule for "How to do Business with UK"

The University of Kentucky’s Supplier Diversity Program has released its schedule for the upcoming classes/ webinars it is leading in partnership with Kentucky Procurement Technical Assistance Program (KYPTAC). The Supplier Diversity Program works to ensure that UK is committed to serving as an advocate for diverse businesses in their efforts to conduct business. These webinars help to facilitate that vision by equipping diverse businesses with education on how to do business with UK.

Kinetic Breaks Ground on Coldstream Research Campus

LEXINGTON, KY., – Kinetic by Windstream broke ground on its new regional headquarters located on the Coldstream Research campus. When complete, the building will support operations across the company’s 18-state footprint.
